Pinpuller Model P5-LT

The “LT” (Low Temperature) series Pinpuller was first qualified by INSYS Limited for the European Space Agency’s (ESAs) Rosetta mission.  In this case, the P5 Pinpuller will be used as part of a larger caging mechanism which releases the lander.  
Negative 150 degrees Celsius operational capability was achieved by incorporating a TiNi element which is both longer in length and larger in diameter.  Otherwise the “LT” series Pinpuller is identical to our standard P5 in offering a simple and eloquent release function for smaller spacecraft deployables.
