Frangibolt® CT3 Compression Fixture
TiNi’s CT3 is a larger derivative of the
CT2 Frangibolt compression fixture. It is designed for resetting TiNi’s FC6 series Frangibolt Actuators which are larger in size and therefore require a much higher compressive force.
The 20,000 lb force needed is generated by using a larger hydraulic cylinder and reacted with four 1/2" bolts which clamp the top and bottom surfaces of the housing together. Otherwise the CT3 is identical in operation and simplicity to the CT2 and allows for convenient compression of the FC6 series Frangibolt in a matter of seconds.
